Strengthening the Logistics Ecosystem, SME Bureau – CBI and NLC Educate Businesses on Managing Bad-Debt Risks
Jakarta, 20 November 2025 – SME Bureau – CBI continued to strengthen its support for the logistics ecosystem by deepening its collaboration with the National Logistics Community (NLC). This collaboration was realized through the workshop titled “Preventing Uncollectible Debt for Logistics Entrepreneurs,” held at the Credit Bureau Indonesia (CBI) office, Chase Plaza, 18th Floor, Jakarta (20/11). The exclusive discussion was attended by ten pre-registered NLC member companies.
The workshop opened with remarks from the SME Bureau CBI Business Partnership team, followed by the main presentation. The Business Development Manager of SME Bureau CBI highlighted the importance of preventive measures in mitigating bad-debt risks and shared strategies to maintain healthy cash flow through accurate and verified credit data.
During the material session, participants were introduced to the data ecosystem developed by CBI to support safer business decision-making. Through Company and Individual Credit Reports built on historical data, logistics entrepreneurs can gain visibility into the financial condition and payment track record of potential business partners. The Know Your Business (KYB) feature was also showcased as a comprehensive business verification tool that checks legal status, business history, and financial condition. Meanwhile, the Payment Performance Record (PPR) was presented as a solution that helps logistics companies monitor and record customer payment behavior, enabling better cash flow control and reducing the risk of uncollectible receivables.
“Logistics entrepreneurs face high risks related to payments. Many receivable issues occur because verification was never done in the first place. This process can serve as a crucial preventive step to avoid uncollectible debt,” said the SME Bureau Business Development Manager, emphasizing that partnership decisions should be based not only on business potential but also on verified data credibility.
The SME Bureau team also underlined the importance of continuous education for logistics players. “We are seeing a rising need for data-driven risk management solutions in the logistics industry. SME Bureau is here to help logistics businesses better understand their partners, reduce risks, and maintain stable cash flow,” the team noted.
Toward the end of the session, participants raised an increasingly critical operational issue: the growing number of criminal cases involving rogue drivers who steal or disappear with shipment goods. The concern was voiced by the Chief Executive Officer of PT Rolin Yatrakama Logistik, who highlighted the urgent need for more robust driver verification to strengthen security across the distribution chain. Participants expressed hope that solutions addressing this challenge could be developed more comprehensively.
Through these features, SME Bureau – CBI reaffirmed its commitment to delivering data-driven solutions that support logistics entrepreneurs in running safer, more professional, and more sustainable operations. Today, CBI’s services are utilized by more than 100 financial institutions and numerous non-financial companies and are recognized by the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs as part of the national MSME support ecosystem.
