CBI SME Bureau: A Smart Solution for Credit Risk Management in the Logistics Ecosystem

Bekasi, September 19, 2025 – CBI SME Bureau took part in the 3rd Anniversary Celebration of the National Logistics Community (NLC), held under the theme “Stronger Than Ever” at Hotel Santika Premiere, Kota Harapan Indah, Bekasi.
The event featured two discussion sessions focusing on legal protection in the logistics industry and the importance of safety in goods transportation.

Legal and Financial Readiness in the Logistics Industry

The first session presented several key speakers:

• Reza Novandi, Managing Partner of RINCO Lawyers, who discussed strategic legal protection for logistics business owners.

• Tiffany Octaviana, Head of SME Bureau at Credit Bureau Indonesia (CBI), who shared insights on financial background checks for business partners.

• Diandra Bernadin, Head of Marketing at Jack, who presented secure and cost-efficient money transfer solutions.

• Kelik Eko Raharjo, CEO of GLR Group, who emphasized the importance of ISO certification for logistics companies.

Transforming the Logistics Ecosystem through Education and Collaboration

The second discussion featured:

• Beni Cahyadi, Head of LSP EMI Certification Scheme, who highlighted driving safety as a key aspect of logistics operations.

• Radika Permana, Area Fleet Manager at Wuling Kumala, who introduced electric vehicles as an eco-friendly and efficient solution for logistics.

• Naresh Kumar, CEO of Kinovasi, who discussed digitalization as the cornerstone of logistics transformation.

• Imanuel Hendarto, Executive Consultant at Inoversi, who spoke on personal branding for logistics companies.

Empowering MSMEs in the Logistics Sector

In his opening remarks, Angga Purnama, Chairman of NLC, explained the purpose of this year’s event:

“This anniversary feels different from the previous ones. It’s not just about celebration, but also education. Through this theme, we want to help our members elevate their business professionalism. NLC was founded to make MSMEs in logistics more capable and competitive.”

He added that the discussion topics were chosen to address real issues in the industry, especially delayed or failed payments from clients, which remain common pain points for logistics entrepreneurs.

“We know that logistics businesses often operate on long payment terms. When payments are delayed or not made, the company’s cash flow is at risk. That’s why we invited legal and financial experts to educate business owners on best practices in contract design and collection management,” he said.

Smart Solutions to Safeguard Cash Flow

Responding to these challenges, Tiffany Octaviana, Head of SME Bureau Credit Bureau Indonesia (CBI), highlighted how preventive actions can help logistics companies maintain financial stability.

“In the logistics industry, verifying business partners is a crucial first step. Many entrepreneurs experience payment delays or defaults simply because they skip the verification process. Trust is good, but verification is essential. If a potential client refuses to share their financial data, it’s better to walk away than face unpaid invoices later,” she explained.

Tiffany further shared that CBI’s SME Bureau has developed an integrated dashboard that allows businesses to check their partners’ financial track records in real time.
The system is already used by over 150 financial institutions and recognized by the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, supporting a more transparent and trustworthy business ecosystem.
